"Moments in Motion", like all of the tracks on the upcoming EP, was created between midnight and 4am. It's my quiet time where I can let the world go and just get lost in the music. In a way I'm just trying to find that state of mind from when I was a kit playing in the basement with no weight or responsibility from the world.

For this song I really just sat down at the piano to see what, if anything, would come out. I found the beginning ostinato and chords changes almost immediately.

The Bridge was a different story! It went through quite a few re-writes before I was happy. Finding a space that felt different yet still connected took me a bit and really didn't completely come together until Pete tracked bass. There wasn't supposed to be a full melody there originally. But Pete played something that was just perfect for the vibe and really just made the part magical to me.
